Immerse yourself in a captivating experience combining nature and creativity at our WORKSHOP White Stork Art evening Safari at Knepp, hosted by Laura Stork Project Officer and artist Catherine Greenwood.

 

This unique experience combines an inspiring workshop with a serene walk through the rewilded landscapes of Knepp, allowing you to observe the majestic white stork in its natural habitat. Guided by Catherine, a celebrated Fine Artist Printmaker, you'll capture the beauty of these magnificent birds through hands-on art sketching and opportunities for close up phoptography.

 

Perfect for nature enthusiasts and art lovers alike, this workshop promises a memorable evening of artistic expression and natural wonder. Join us to create stunning art pieces that reflect the tranquility and magic of Knepp.

 

  • You will be given an A4  sketchbook and basic art materials will be provided plus given sketching tips for how to get started and gain confirdence in drawing wildlife in nature.
  • You are also welcome to bring your own art materials and cameras.
  • Some camp chairs will be provided but please do bring your own portable ones.

    Dates: Tuesdays March 18 (3.30-5.30pm), May 20th (5-7pm), July 15th (5-7pm), Nov 25th (3.30-5.30pm)

    Time: 5pm-7pm unless stated otherwise
    £45 per person (age 12+)

    Location: Meet outside the Grannary Barn, which is behind the Knepp campsite shop. Please wear suitable footwear, rain gear if wet, a hat with peak if sunny; we will be embracing the elements!  The footpaths are uneven so regratbly this walk is unsuitable for a mobilty scooter, however you would be welcoem to join us at the start of the walk and access the areas around the campsite shop.

    Wear a small backpack to keep hands free for drawing or taking photos,  bring a bottle of water.

    Carpark: Parking is available at the campsite during the summer  months, follow signs from the road to Knepp Safaris. 

    TIMING: Please allow enough time to walk to the barn (5-10  minuites ) There is a toilet at the Barn- we will gather and set off to view the storks on a path that is usually not accessed by general public.

    The Art Stork Safari is led at a moderate walking pace with frequent stops to sketch and learn about the birds.

    You’ll need a good level of fitness and be able to cope with walking on uneven ground.

    Please wear suiable footwear and outdoor clothing for all weathers.

    All guests must be over 12yrs. We cannot accommodate unaccompanied guests under 18yrs.

    We regret we cannot offer refunds or date changes once your booking is made.

    We cannot guarantee the great British weather, or that you will see your target species. 

    Nature is unpredictable! However we’re confident you’ll enjoy your experience with us, come rain or shine, and there’s always plenty of wildlife to see.
