We saw White Storks nesting on the old castle walls in Marrakesh during a wonderful spontaneous trip to Morrocco  and wondered if any had come from Knepp Wilding in Sussex.

I made some sketches of these wonderful birds in Morocco, they will provide new material for my next Lithographs.

I’ve paid several visits to the White Stork Project at Knepp Wilding Estate in Sussex and I’ve been delighted to have people join me to draw and grateful to Laura for all her insights into the Stork colony which has newly established at Knepp. Donations from the Art safaris support the White Stork Project. live Cam feed. Do let me know if youd like to come !

Im continuing to teach pop up specialist workshops in Hove, West Hoathly,  Putney School of Art and Mill Street Etching Studios. My second successful Carborundum & Drypoint workshop at West Hove Studios in April gave printmakers an opportunity to explore the markmaking potential of drypoint and Carborundum paste. Do contact me if you are interetsed.

'Under the Same Sky' Exhibition at Sandra Higgins Art Gallery Bath moved to Paint Spaces Gallery in London during the early Summer. It was exciting to have my White Stork Lithographs fly off the walls to find new homes from there.

I'm enjoying learning new techniques in Lithography as a new printmaking skill as a way of translating my  inky Storky drawings into prints. I’ve absolutely  loved drawing on the silky cream limestone, and learning how to pull a print on the ancient presses under watchful eye of master printer Simon Burder. Ive recently discovered that my Great Grandfather was a Commercial  artist Lithographer. It is his water colours which first inspired me to start painting.

A second small edition of 'White Stork Migration' is now available from my studio using natural pigments to colour blue ink of the second stone.
