Forest ART WALKS in Sussex

Ideal for both experienced artists and enthusiastic beginners, these walks provide invaluable opportunities to explore natural surroundings and capture their essence through art.

The Art Walk lasts 3 hour and includes all materials and art tutition in small groups. All ages and abilities welcome including experienced artists, however, no experience is necessary, you will be led through exercises which aim to give you more confidence drawing in an landcsape setting.
- Location The Art Walk starts from the Ashdown Forest Visitor centre carpark. Please note that parking is paid for via an app. if you need assistance with this please phone or ask Catherine 07446268437 when you arrive. For toilets-follow the paths behind the visitor centre where there is also a coffee shop with homemade cake!
- The art walks include an art tutorial with a sketchbook and basic materials to experiment with on the day.
- We will go out sketching whatever the weather, so do dress appropriately, shelter will be sought under trees or in extreme cases back at the Visitor centre.
Catherine will offer tuition in observed drawing and painting, tailor made to your requimnets and skill level- beginners and expeienced artists are welcome.
- You are also welcome to bring your own at materilals and a light portable stool or chair or mat and snacks!
- You will be given the details of the meeting point the day before via the Art Walk Whats' app chat, text & email.
- The walks are mainly circular loops but if you wish to extend your walk further please let Catherine know; the main focus of the Art Walk is to take the opportunity to enjoy creating art togther and taking time to appreciate the natural environment.

Booking Policy & What to bring
- It is advisable to wear clothing and footwear suitable for all weathers, bringing a waterbottle and something to sit on.
- Please note that participating in this session is entirely at your own risk.
- Do allow plenty of time around this event, to travel to and from it. Afterwards you may wish to extend your day with a further walk or picnic.
- Appolgies : no children or pets.
- Details will be sent via email and text about the exact location the day before the event.
- No refund will be made in case of cancellation but an alternative date can be booked if notified one week before the event except in exceptional circumstances.
